The Juvenil will spend this week as the leader of their group after defeating Sant Cugat, the only team that had won the first two matches, in a very serious duel. Meanwhile, the Infantil had no chance on the field of FiF Lleida, a team physically far superior to the tricolors.
U19 3-1 Sant Cugat
Solid victory for Filipe Busto's team, who knew how to play their game against one of the strongest opponents in the category. The match was quite even, and at the start, Unai's double chance was countered by the Catalan team with a shot that Manel and Gerard deflected to a corner. Carlos tried his luck afterward, and in the 12th minute, the tricolor goalkeeper Víctor averted the visitors' danger with a great save. Then, in the 17th minute, Dani de Sa opened the scoring with a cross that took a tricky turn and surprised the visiting goalkeeper.
A few minutes later, Andorra saw their 2-0 goal disallowed, but the team kept pushing, and the second goal came after the break, scored by Queirós (56'). The joy was short-lived as Sant Cugat reduced the deficit just three minutes later, but the Juvenil held their nerve, kept searching for another goal, and sealed the victory in the 87th minute through Manel.
FiF Lleida 8-0 U13
The Infantil had no chance during their visit to FiF Lleida's field, in a match that started to tilt in the initial stages. In just three minutes, the local striker, who would end up scoring six goals, netted the first two to make it 2-0.
From there, the tricolors regrouped and, through ball possession, managed to create some danger near the opponent's goal. The team showed patience, but their dominance only served to hold off the blow and not to score a goal that could have brought them back into the game.
In the second half, although Andorra remained patient with the ball, the physical difference with the opponent excessively punished Aldo Papadopulos' team, who struggled with balls behind the defense and conceded six more goals.
