Andorra achieved a good result in the first leg of the semi-finals of the promotion play-off after beating Ibiza by two goals. The tricolours, who played a great game and were effective in the areas, found themselves with a great advantage before half-time thanks to goals from Josep Cerdà and Lautaro.
Ibiza, who also played a very good game, came out brave and prepared to make it difficult for Andorra to get the ball out, and in the first part of the match, Beto Company's team encountered difficulties. With both teams having a very brave approach, the spectacle on the pitch was very attractive and the alternatives in both areas were a constant. And in this context, the team from the Principality were better because, when they reached the area, they were very effective.
In the 20th minute, in the first dangerous arrival, Pau Casadesús made a great run on the right side and his pass back was finished, with a very tight shot, by Josep Cerdà at the back of the net. With the score at 1-0, the tricolours grew and experienced their best moments. And the most positive: they extended the score.
In the 43rd minute, a header by Manu Nieto, after a good cross by Sergio Molina, hit the post, but in the play immediately above, a precise assist from Martí Vilà behind the Ibizan defense was perfectly caught by Lautaro, thus scoring the second.
Although the 2-0 was too atractive to take a step back, Beto Company's team came out with the same intention of continuing to have the ball and look for the rival goal. An idea also shared by the squad from the Balearic Islands, who also had moments of dominance, although without forcing any decisive save from Nico Ratti. And so the minutes went by: with two teams increasingly tired, but who continued to press each other up high and try to hurt each other through the ball.
And in the last ten minutes, the game has completely broken down. A fact that Andorra almost takes advantage of, who have been closer to the goal in this final stretch. The clearest, a good maneuver by Luismi Redondo inside the area that has not been able to score because Monjonell has put a saving foot to block the shot.
