Thomas Carrique, who scored a goal and provided an assist in the 5-1 victory against Ceuta, expressed great satisfaction in the mixed zone after the debut in LaLiga Hypermotion 26/27. The French full-back highlighted that there was no noticeable difference between the new players and those who were already part of the team last season, and he emphasized that the good work done during the preseason was reflected in the match.

Regarding his goal, Carrique explained it naturally, downplaying its importance: "I just told him I was behind, and he did the backheel well, and that's it." The full-back also emphasized the importance of being able to help the team both in attack and defense from the flank: "It's very important to be a full-back who can cover the entire field." Asked about his physical condition after playing the full ninety minutes, he assured that he felt very good and insisted on the need to maintain this level of work.

The Frenchman wanted to focus on the immediate future, reminding that the league is "very tough and very long" and that the team is already thinking about the next match, on Monday against Celta B. Asked about his future, Carrique made it clear that he has a contract and is very happy at the club.
