New competition day for the youth football teams of Andorra, with an important away victory for the under-15 squad and a narrow defeat for the U13 in a very contested match. The under-19, on the other hand, saw their match against Solsona postponed just before halftime after a serious scare involving a Solsona player. From Andorra, we want to send all our support and wish him a speedy recovery.
Solsona 1-0 U19 (suspended)
The match between Andorra's U19 and Solsona was suspended a few minutes before halftime after a serious incident occurred in the final minutes of the first half. During a play, the goalkeeper and a defender from Solsona collided while contesting a ball with a tricolor forward, and the local player was left unconscious on the field. After emergency services were alerted, he was taken to the hospital.
In a situation like this, football takes a back seat. From Andorra, we want to send strength to the player, his family, and everyone at Solsona, wishing him a swift recovery.
Artesa Segre 1-4 U15
Our U15 team achieved an important victory at Artesa de Segre's field to continue earning points away from home. The tricolors started focused and created several chances in the final third, but lacked precision to convert opportunities into goals. The team, coached by Albert Reyes, managed to play much of the first half in the opponent's half and had numerous set-piece opportunities, but couldn't find the back of the net.
In the second half, Andorra adjusted some aspects of their play with the ball and came out determined to win the match. Despite taking the lead, an error in an unforced play allowed Artesa to equalize. Far from giving up, the tricolors stuck to their game plan and, thanks to the contributions of players coming off the bench, ended up winning 1-4. An important away victory, with a good attitude and collective effort from the entire team.
Mollerussa 1-0 U13
The under-13 narrowly lost at Mollerussa's field in a very balanced match marked by the defensive solidity of both teams. During the first half, both sides showed mutual respect and maintained good defensive organization, with few clear chances. Andorra lacked a bit more composure in recoveries and precision in the final pass to capitalize on their opportunities.
In the second half, Mollerussa stepped up and scored the decisive goal from a corner play. The tricolors responded by pushing forward and dominating second balls, which allowed them to gain ground and create a sense of danger, though they couldn't find the necessary clarity in the final third. Despite the defeat, the team played a serious match, with great collective effort on a challenging field, and returned home empty-handed due to small details.
