Andorra is in a slump, and today it became completely evident: the tricolors deserved much better luck against a great Almería, but they were not accurate in finishing, and the Andalusians took advantage to secure the victory thanks to two strikes from Arribas.
In a head-to-head match between two brave teams, the team from the Principality was the first to come close to scoring with a clear chance from Lautaro after a good cross from Carrique. Andorra started the match very well, but Almería also wanted to make their mark: in their chances, however, they were met by a providential Yaakobishvili once again.
In the second half, the tricolors had their best moments right at the start: with a bit more precision, Andorra could have taken control of the match at the beginning of the second half. But Lautaro, on two occasions, and Manu Nieto were unable to send the ball into the back of the net, while Carrique's shot hit the post.
Andorra missed their chances, and Almería, when given the opportunity, did not. Arribas, one of the visitors' best players, broke the deadlock in the 69th minute with a shot from outside the box and scored the second a few minutes later.
With everything lost, Manu Nieto reduced the deficit in the 93rd minute, but the team did not have enough time to equalize.
