Andorra will end the year with a boost of optimism and good feelings thanks to their second consecutive victory. The Tricolors defeated Deportivo in another match where the team showed great maturity, clearly improved as the game progressed, and Lauti ultimately tipped the balance with a goal in the 78th minute.
Dépor started better, though, enjoying a clear chance before the first quarter of an hour with a shot that hit the crossbar and a rebound that Zakaria sent over the bar. However, the Tricolors gradually settled into the game, and in the second part of the first half, Andorra was better and even had some chances to take the lead. The clearest was a disallowed goal by Lautaro for an alleged prior foul before the shot (29’), while a minute later, the Galician forward tried again, but this time he was stopped by goalkeeper Germán.
In the second half, the team from Coruña started stronger again, but Andorra, very mature and serious, quickly took control of the game and pinned their opponents in their own half. In the second half, the team from the Principality dominated possession and managed to impose their rhythm of play against a Dépor that was outmatched.
There weren’t many clear chances, but Villahermosa warned with a shot over the crossbar in the 74th minute, and just five minutes later, Lauti scored the goal, finishing off a good play down the right wing to decide the match.
