The Genuine team of FC Andorra is playing the second meeting of the season of LaLiga Genuine this weekend, which will take place in the city of Gijón. The tricolor expedition left this Friday morning for Asturias to participate in a new day of this competition that promotes inclusion and the values of football through sport.
During the weekend, the Andorran team will play two matches. The first will be on Saturday at 5 p.m. against Burgos CF, while the second match will take place on Sunday at 10 a.m. against Racing de Ferrol.
The Gijón meeting is part of the 2025-26 season calendar of LaLiga Genuine, a competition promoted by LaLiga and its foundation that brings together teams made up of players with intellectual disabilities and focuses on the values of respect, camaraderie, and inclusion over sporting results.
For the Genuine team of FC Andorra, this new phase represents another opportunity to continue sharing experiences with the other participating clubs and to keep enjoying a project that uses football as a tool for integration and personal growth.
Pere Gabriel, striker for FC Andorra Genuine: "The goal is to enjoy with the team-mates. We are really looking forward to it: we are four points behind Reus, who are in first place, and we hope to be able to close this phase as the sole leaders."
Àlex Cardoso, goalkeeper for FC Andorra Genuine: "We are really looking forward to competing and we will try to enjoy it as always."
