Andorra is in a sweet spot and has achieved a new victory on Cádiz's field. The tricolors, with less brilliance than in recent matches but with a maturity they hadn't shown until the last few weeks, defeated the Andalusian team thanks to a solitary goal by Josep Cerdà.
The match started sluggishly, with neither team managing to take control and, much less, approach the opponent's area with danger. The first to try was Marc Domènech with a long-range shot that came in the 23rd minute. Shortly after, Efe Akman headed wide until, in the 35th minute, Josep Cerdà pulled off a stunning goal to put the tricolors ahead.
Right after, Cádiz responded with a shot off the post by García Pascual, but the match went into halftime with a narrow lead for Andorra.
In the second half, the Cádiz team stepped up, and Carles Manso's men had to endure. Even so, the Principality's team held up quite well, without excessive struggles, repelling all of Cádiz's attacks, including set pieces. And when they couldn't, the ever-reliable Owono appeared, making two great saves to deny the home team an equalizer.
