The best present possible for our birthday

Balsamic victory for Andorra that broke the streak of three consecutive defeats with a win against Alcorcón on its 81st anniversary. The Tricolours dominated, especially in the first half, but did not find the prize of the goal until the final minutes thanks to Alex Calvo, who gave an assist and scored the final goal.

In a match against a direct rival like Alcorcón, Eder Sarabia's side came out courageous and in the first half were clearly superior against an opponent who defend in their own field. The Tricolours enjoyed the best chances in the first 45 minutes: but neither Lobete, twice, Scheidler, Rubén Bover nor Iker Benito found the back of the net.

After half time, after two minutes Diego shot too wide with his right foot, but Andorra were not as fluid as before in the final meters. Thus, Alcorcón made a step forward and the former tricolor Jacobo hit the post with a header. After the scare, Alex Calvo, who started in the bench, changed everything as he needed just ten minutes to assist Lobete to open the score (80').

After the goal, the visitors enjoyed their best minutes with a couple of clear chances to tie again the match, but they weren’t clinical enough. And finally, any suffering has vanished in a rapid counterattack culminated by Àlex Calvo with the final 2-nil.
