No agreement for the land in Borda Mateu

The negotiations for the construction of a future stadium in Borda Mateu have been broken due to the refusal of the owners to rent the land where the field was to be located. FC Andorra has put a lot of effort into moving forward with this project and had the agreement on track, but now sees how the situation needs to be rethought.

The club was aware of the magnitude of the project for a Primera RFEF team, but also saw the construction of its own stadium as the best solution to unblock the complex situation that exists in the country with the sports facilities and the difficult fit between all entities. That is why he had devoted efforts to studying its economic viability, he had a preliminary project for the stadium and the multi-functional and he had the support of the institutions to take it forward.

From the beginning of the new project, the Board was clear that the growth of the club was based on three pillars: sports, social and facilities. In the latter, the construction of its own stadium was seen as a key element to move forward and continue growing as an entity. In the same way, FC Andorra is clear that the future of the club depends on the country and that this is a long-term project, but it is now forced to open a period of reflection to study the new situation.
