Uneven luck for the two youth teams that debuted this weekend: the Juvenil played a very solid match and defeated Cerdanyola, while the Infantil couldn't secure any points during their visit to AEM's field despite taking the lead.
U19 2-0 Cerdanyola
Good performance by the Juvenil, who showed a strong version in their first league match. Filipe Busto's team had a great first half, although they didn't find effectiveness until after the break.
In the first half, Unai already tried just as the match began, and the tricolors continued to create chances throughout the first 45 minutes. De Sa was stopped by Cerdanyola's goalkeeper (25'), while a few minutes later, Marcel hit the post with his shot, and once again Dani de Sa was denied by another save from the opposing keeper. And even before the break, César had the chance to open the scoring, but it wasn't until the second half that Andorra managed to convert their dominance into goals. In the 54th minute, Juan converted a penalty committed on César, and the same César sealed the victory after a good assist from Marcel (73').
AEM 3-1 U13
The debut in Preferent was not as dreamed for the Infantil, although the team coached by Aldo Papadopulos put up a fight and left a good impression against a very strong opponent. In fact, in the first half, the match was very even, with Andorra defending well and creating chances in the final moments before the break. In fact, Yago gave a warning in the 30th minute with a clear chance that the goalkeeper saved, but he didn't miss the next opportunity he had after a good play by Joel Alonso to open the scoring.
Despite the 0-1 lead, the tricolor team struggled in the second half and saw AEM equalize the score right at the start from a corner kick. From there, Andorra had difficulties approaching the opposing goal and saw the points slip away in the final stretch due to two penalties against them, the first of which was quite questionable.
