It was not the most successful weekend for the youth teams, who failed to win in the matches of the day. Luckily, the u13 fixed the week by winning and breaking the bad streak against Mollerussa, in the postponed duel before Christmas.
U19 1-2 Vilassar Mar | With ten men is more difficult
The U19 has not been having luck in recent weeks and in the visit of Vilassar de Mar saw how it remained without winning in a match that it had controlled but that became complicated after the Dani de Sa's red card.
Andorra was clearly dominating from the start and just starting Abu was close to opening the scoreboard. Solanes tried it shortly after, but finally the goal came thanks to Pere after a pass from Abu (36'). And even before the break, Solanes was about to extend the lead. However, the tricolours were cleary dominating against Vilassar who hardly troubled Jauregui's goal.
After the break, everything continued the same until Dani de Sa saw his second yellow card and from then on everything changed. The team were forced to take a step back and all the control that the visitors had not had in the first half they enjoyed from then on. Andorra had to defend, but two great saves by Víctor were not enough to prevent the Catalans from turning the scoreboard upside down with two actions from set pieces.
U16 0-2 Bordeta Lleida | A great start is not enough
After the great victory of the last day, the U16 team sought to extend their good streak of results. And the feelings remained good, with the team competing throughout the match, especially in a very good first half hour of play, but the points could not stay in the Principality.
The tricolours entered the game very well and through very good pressure they managed to control the tempo of the match and transfer the game to the opposing field. Thus, goalkeeper Arnau hardly had to intervene in the first few minutes of the match, while in the other area, Andorra enjoyed the clearest opportunity with a double shot on the post by Kylian and Xavi.
The problem is that in the 32nd minute, in an isolated action, la Bordeta opened the score. The goal affected the tricolour team who had some problemes in the last minutes of the first half. The break served to break the dynamics, but the truth is that in the second half the away team managed to take control and put a match to sleep in which almost nothing else happened apart from the final 0-2 for the visitors.
Intercomarcal 3-2 U13 | Second defeat in a row
After an impeccable 2024, the U13 have suffered defeat in the first two games of the new year. This Saturday against Intercomarcal, in a game that became complicated in the first half and, in which, after the restart, the tricolours came up short with the comeback despite trying and deserving, at least, to get a draw.
In the first 35 minutes, Andorra was not good and the home team took advantage of this to strike twice, the first in a free kick. Despite being 2-0 down, after the break the tricolours came out with a different face, took control and, soon, Xavi Fernández closed the gap. The locals extended the score again from a set piece, but despite this the U13 boys kept trying. Xavi scored again and only the lack of accuracy in the final shot prevented Andorra from ending up tying.
U13 1-0 Mollerussa | Good win in the postponed game
The U13 had a second game this weekend and on Sunday they played the postponed match of day 11 against Mollerussa. A good opportunity to break the streak of bad results that the tricolours did not waste in another even match but that ended winning Andorra.
The fact is that Aldo Papadopulos' boys came out focused and dominated for a good part of the game and opened the scoring just after the start on a good assist from Pol that culminated in Èric da Costa with a good cross shot (5'). Andorra continued to dominate although Èric had to avoid a draw with a great save.
The second half continued with the same script, with the locals having the control and some chances, although goalkeeper Gerard, who came on at half-time, also had to intervene to avoid a 1-1. Everything seemed under control until in the last quarter of an hour Andorra was left with one player less and had to suffer until the end.
