After two days without competing in the league due to the U19 Pre-European Championship held in Andorra and in which the Principality's selection had up to thirteen players from our Youth team, the team coached by Filipe Busto returned to compete with a hard-earned victory at the Balaguer field. For its part, the Cadet had no options against a great team like AEM, while the Infantil continued its way and added a new triumph.
Balaguer 0-1 U19 | Nothing has changed
U19 achieved an important victory against Balaguer that propels them into the middle zone of the table despite having two fewer games. The goal was scored by Haroun, one of the most active in the tricolour attack in the first half, after the quarter of an hour of play, a goal that would be definitive. And the fact is that Andorra had total control of the match and did not suffer much in defense and, when it needed it, it counted on the interventions of goalkeeper Ferran.
In fact, the tricolour keeper was key in the clearest opportunity for the locals, a penalty that the Ferran saved very well in the second half. This was the biggest scare suffered by the team, who were too hasty with the ball and innacurate in the final meters but who were very solid at the back and ensured a vital victory.
Now, this coming Wednesday, the team will recover at home against Atlètic Sant Just one of the two games that have been postponed.
AEM 6-0 U16 | No options at all
Cadet had no options against one of the powerful teams in the category and that found themselves ahead on the scoreboard just in the second minute of the game. With 1-0 against, however, Andorra showed a good face for almost the entire first half, pressing well and showing solidity in defending the area. But the 2-0, in the 26th minute, hurt a lot and in the second half the tricolor team completely disintegrated.
And AEM took advantage of this to dig into the wound and close the scoring with four goals in the second half.
U13 1-0 EFB Guissona | Win by the minimum
Short victory for U13 team, who had plenty of chances to achieve a more comfortable victory. The tricolours opened the scoring just in the 2nd minute, but the lack of success meant that the score did not move throughout the match: despite this, Andorra did not suffer and always had the duel under control.
Right at the start, after a long pass by Dani, Xavi opened the scoring. From then on, the match was an attack-and-goal affair, but the lack of accurancy and a great performance by the visiting goalkeeper prevented the tricolour's advantage from expanding. In the second half, the script of the match remained exactly the same, with the U13s controlling and looking for the goal. But neither in a triple opportunity after a corner-kick nor in the multiple arrivals did Andorra find the goal and the match ended with a victory by the minimum that keeps Andorra at the top of the table.
