Reports from the weekend's base teams

A weekend with ups and downs for the tricolor youth teams. The U-19 team lost to Mercantil in a match marked by their own mistakes, the U-15 showed a good level of play but gave in at the final stages against Mig Segrià, while the U-13 team won with solidity thanks to great pressure and game control.

U13 3-0 Tàrrega | Control and solidity

The Infantil claimed a convincing victory in a match where they dominated for most of the game and displayed defensive solidity. While the tricolors struggled at times to find fluidity in possession, their intense pressing high up the pitch allowed them to win back possession quickly and create dangerous opportunities near the opponent’s box.

Despite having only three substitutes, the players kept running and pushing for goals. The defensive line performed exceptionally well, limiting the opponent’s chances, while Eric, the team’s only available goalkeeper, delivered an outstanding performance to keep a clean sheet.

Another victory to keep the momentum going and reinforce the team's strong form.

Mig Segrià 3-2 U16 | Good game without reward

Cadet dominated for many minutes, but went without a prize in a match that had a good chance. The tricolors signed an almost perfect first half, controlling the ball and limiting the opponent, but the final stretch punished the team.

Andorra took the lead in the 16th minute with a great goal after a long move. Despite the advantage, Mig Segrià tied with a powerful shot from the front that went in after touching the post. After the break, the tricolors took the lead again with a play on the wing that Marc Ber converted into 1-2.

Despite the good game that Andorra was showing, the team lost solidity and the opponent took advantage of it to turn the score around in the last minutes. Despite the defeat, the team continues to show a good line and grow in its game.

Mercantil 4-2 U19 | Costly mistakes

The Juvenil suffered a defeat on their visit to Sabadell in a game defined by self-inflicted errors that put the team on the back foot from the start. The tricolors struggled against themselves more than against the opponent, making costly concessions that Mercantil capitalized on.

The opening goal came due to a lack of defensive intensity, allowing an uncontested shot from the edge of the box. Shortly after, a collective lapse during a free-kick led to the 2-0, as the players appealed for an offside that the referee did not call.

After halftime, Andorra seemed ready to react, but two serious mistakes gifted the home side two more goals, effectively sealing the match. Despite the heavy scoreline, the tricolors showed pride in the final stretch, scoring twice to soften the defeat.

On Saturday, the Juvenil will look to bounce back at home and put in a stronger performance, regardless of the squad absences.
