After a start to 2025 where luck had not been on their side, the U19 team returned to the path of triumph with a convincing victory in the visit of AEM to the Principality. The U13, for their part, thrashed the bottom side to put an end to the doubts of recent weeks, while the U16 squad competed very well during the first half but ended up losing after the break.
U19 2-0 AEM | Come back to the winning path
The U19 team ended the streak of two consecutive defeats and added the three points against AEM in a match where the team showed solidity and had things clear. Yèdid's goal, just before the break, put a deserved victory on track that allows the team to continue looking up.
After a good start, in the 20th minute, Andorra had the first clear chance after a good collective play between Cerni, Yèdid, Abu and Haroun that ended with a shot by Pere that between the visiting goalkeeper and the post avoided the goal. Abu, after a good cross from Haroun, shot wide, while in the half hour of play, the away team had their clearest chance but Mou blocked the shot. Finally, in the last minute before the break, a good pressure from Pere was taken advantage of by Yèdid, very attentive, to open the scoring.
In the second half, AEM was able to tie the game just starting, but the tricolours did not lose their calm, they continued to dominate until in the 63rd minute Abu scored after a cross from Saül. With this second goal, Filipe Busto's team played with pleasure and could have even increased the lead if the goalkeeper had not saved Saül's goal.
Lleida Promeses 3-0 Cadet | A bad second half
In an important match to reduce the gap with the teams above in the standings, U16 went empty-handed due to three goals in the second half. The tricolours competed and had options before the break, but the 1-0 at the quarter-hour mark of the second half left Andorra very touched.
Andorra did not enter good to the game Lleida Promeses enjoyed a penalty just after the start. Luckily, the shot went wide and, from there, the tricolours grew and had a good first half. After the break, the dynamics remained the same and, even, Andorra took a step forward. But in an isolated action, the home team opened the scoring and, with the score 1-0, the good feelings disappeared. The tricolours lost all its energy and Lleida Promeses took the opportunity to sentence in two corner-kicks.
U13 9-0 Inter Recasens | Solo leaders
The U13 closed the first round with a resounding victory against Inter Recasens and took advantage of the stumble of Baix Segrià to become the solo leaders. The match did not have much history since Andorra entered the game very well and just in the 5th minute, Iker Canal opened the scoring with a shot from outside the box.
From there, the tricolours dominated at will, showing themselves very accurate with the ball and finding the spaces with accuracy. In the end, Xavi Fernández with three goals, Iker Canal and Isaac with a double, Julio and Iker Enterríos were the tricolour scorers, while in goal, Sergi Duró was very accurate to prevent the visiting goal in the two best chances of Inter Recasens in the second half.
