Wins at home for our youth teams

The U19 and U13 teams were the protagonists of a positive weekend for the tricolor youth teams, securing two hard-fought victories. Filipe Busto’s side defeated Igualada in an intense match that was decided by a second-half goal from Dani de Sa, while the U13 dominated from start to finish and took all three points thanks to a brilliant individual play by Cerni.

Juvenil 2-1 Igualada | Hard-fought victory

The U19 team earned three valuable points in a tough match against Igualada. The tricolors took an early lead with a goal from Manel in the 10th minute, heading in a corner kick delivered by Haroun. However, the visitors responded quickly and, just four minutes later, Igualada equalized with a well-worked team goal.

Before halftime, Andorra had two clear chances to regain the lead. First, Haroun headed wide at the far post, and later, Yedid found himself one-on-one with the opposing goalkeeper, who made a crucial save to deny the goal. On the other hand, Igualada attempted long-range shots but failed to trouble the tricolor defense.

In the second half, Filipe Busto’s side eventually found the winning goal through a brilliant individual effort by Dani de Sa, who executed a self-pass inside the box before finishing with precision. In the final moments, the visitors had a free kick from a dangerous position to seek the equalizer, but Jauregui made a solid save to secure an important victory.

Tàrrega 5-0 U16 | Everything changed after the break

U16 squad stood up against Tàrrega until the break, but the game became very difficult for them in the second half, especially after the home goal ten minutes after half-time. From there, the tricolors disappeared and the home team took advantage of it to score four more goals, all by the same player.

It was a shame because Andorra, who are on a bad streak of results, came out well in the game and showed a good version. But once again, the team deflated in the second half and suffered an excessively hard defeat.

U13 1-0 | Dominance and narrow win

The U13 team secured a narrow victory in a match where they were clearly superior to their opponents. The tricolors controlled the game from the first minute and created multiple clear chances, but a lack of finishing meant the scoreboard remained unchanged until the second half.

With consistent possession and fluid attacking play, Andorra kept pushing until Cerni finally broke the deadlock with a brilliant solo move—beating a defender with a dribble on the edge of the box before slotting the ball past the advancing goalkeeper.

Aldo Papadopulos’ team continued to control the tempo and did not allow their opponents any opportunities, securing three points that keep them on a strong trajectory.
