Epic victory for the S13 team, who beat Edfor thanks to a goal in the last minute by Julio. It was the big news of the weekend because the U19 squad could not face one of the leading teams in their league in a match in which they did not play badly but fell with excessive force. Finally, the U16 match was suspended due to snowfall.
Cerdanyola 3-0 Juvenil | Home effectiveness
The U19 fell on the Cerdanyola field in a much more even match than the final score indicates. The home team, however, knew how to play their game, enhance their individuality and take advantage of the opportunities to hit an Andorra team that tried but failed.
In the first part of the match, the tricolours were in control, while the locals tried to do damage in transitions. But everything started to go wrong in the 35th minute when Cerdanyola took the lead on a set piece. Here, Andorra lost control and the problem became even worse just before the break with the second goal.
In the second half, Filipe Busto's team came out well and Lucas had a very clear option to reduce the distance. He could not get past the goalkeeper and, on the hour mark, Cerdanyola took advantage of an isolated action to score and get the win.
Infantil S13 2-1 Edfor | Epic and victory
A hard-earned victory for Aldo Papadopulos' boys, who had to fight until the end to get three golden points. The tricolours dominated in the first half, but Edfor tied just before the start of the second half and the duel was very contested until the end. Luckily, a goal by Julio in added time tipped the balance in favor of the tricolours.
Despite the strong pressure from the opponents, Andorra dominated in the first half and took the lead thanks to a goal from Isaac in a good collective move. In the second half, however, the away team equalized and the match was even without the tricolours being able to impose their quality. But when everything indicated that the game would end with a sharing of points, Èric da Costa recovered a ball in the middle of the field, opened up to Gálvez and he assisted Julio who did not forgive.
