Two points lost in the last minute

Andorra secured a draw at El Molinón that leaves a bitter taste due to the way it happened. The tricolors, who had a great first half and managed to endure in the second, saw their lead slip away in the 100th minute due to a penalty that was extensively reviewed by VAR.

The tricolor team had a strong first half, showing personality and creating danger at Yáñez's goal. In fact, it was Álvaro Martín, a new addition to the starting eleven, who was the first to try with a shot close to the post, while Sporting's response was equally dangerous: the post, however, saved Gaspar's goal (22’). A few minutes later, Manu Nieto came close to scoring after a precise cross from Carrique, but in the final minutes before halftime, the tricolors had to endure as the Asturians stepped up their game. At that point, Yaako was crucial with a saving stop from a point-blank shot by Rosas.

In the second half, the home team's momentum continued, and the tricolors faced some challenging moments. But in the toughest times, the immense figure of Yaako emerged, thwarting all of Sporting's dangerous attempts. In attack, the visitors waited for their moment, and in a quick transition, Lauti opened the scoring with a goal that seemed decisive.

And it would have been if not for the last play of the match. In a corner kick that the referee seemingly pulled out of nowhere, the key play of the end came: Alende, unbalanced by a home player, barely touched the ball with his hand, and after a long deliberation in the VOR room, the referee awarded a penalty that Corredera converted to equalize.
