Set pieces condemn Andorra

Two goals from two corner-kicks were enough for Ceuta to secure the three points against an Andorra team that dominated and tried until the end. In fact, the tricolors dominated and played a good match, but as on other occasions, the small details were decisive.

Andorra played very well in the first half, although the locals were very dangerous in set-piece situations, such as a powerful free-kick from Bodiger that hit the crossbar. In fact, it was the first clear chance of the match, to which Jastin quickly responded with an excellent play that Vallejo saved with a great hand.

Three minutes later, Minsu tried with a shot that was too central, and Andorra felt comfortable every time they managed to overcome the aggressive pressure of the local team. But just when the tricolor team was at its best, Ceuta scored in a tight corner that Youness headed in with a deflection (27’).

Despite the adverse result, the sensations were quite good, but the problem was that just at the start of the second half, the 2-0 came from another corner. From there, Andorra had a mountain to climb, but they did not give up. In fact, right after the second goal from the North Africans, Minsu had a clear chance to reduce the deficit in another good play by Jastin.

The match became an all-out attack, but the locals knew how to cool the game down and ensure very little happened near the areas despite Andorra's total dominance. However, in an isolated action, Manu Nieto won a penalty, which he himself converted, and the game opened up again. Efe tried with a shot from outside the area that Vallejo saved, but despite trying until the end, the tricolors did not have any clearer chances to equalize.
