Migue Leal, first signing for the new season

FC Andorra announces the signing of Migue Leal, a full-back from Villarreal II. The defender arrives free after the end of his contract with the Yellows and signs for two seasons.

Migue Leal (Villarreal, 1/2/1997) is a right-back who spend his entire carrer at his hometown club Villarreal after joining at the age of 6. This year, with 26, Leal has put an end to a period of twenty seasons with the yellow team, having gone through all its categories. The defender even made his first team debut in a Copa del Rey match against Comillas in December 2019.

However, Leal already knows what it's like to wear another team's jersey after a half-season spell with Murcia (18/19) and an entire season at Groningen, in the Dutch top division. He appeared there on loan, but now arrives in the Principality completely detached from Villarreal and having accumulated a full season of experience in the Spanish second division.

In total, Leal, a full-back with a great physical ability, has played 30 games this season –25 starts– and has scored one goal, at home against Mirandés. Last year, in the season of promotion to LaLiga 2, the defender played in all league games –only one coming off the bench– fully consolidated as the owner of the right full-back of Miguel Álvarez's side.

The defender is also no stranger to the tricolor fans, as Andorra and Villarreal B have clashed several times in recent years. Despite Leal hasn't played a single minute in any of the two games this year, he had started in the previous four matches – two last year in the Primera RFEF and two more in 2019/20 in Segunda B.

Career:

22/23: Villarreal B

21/22: Villarreal B

20/21: Groningen

19/20: Villarreal B

18/19: Murcia/Villarreal B
