Ferran Costa: "We were doing things well but in the 60th minute the game changed"

Statements by the coach Ferran Costa in the press room of O Couto stadium after the goalless match between the tricolour squad and Ourense. A game in which Andorra dominated but was completely conditioned by the unfair red card shown to César Morgado.

"In the first half I think there are two parts: in the first five minutes we wasn't accurate, it took us a little to get the rhythm of the game, but I think we had some good moments afterwards, where we managed to recover quickly and we played on the opposite field. I think we didn't finish the first half well because the game went too crazy, trying to recover the ball with too much momentum and without much order. They didn't create much danger, but we were frustrated not to recover it ball and that made us attack worse."

"In the second half I think it was a game where we were clearly looking for the goal and they were defending without having any counter-attacking options. I think we were doing things well, but in the 60th minute the game changed. It really didn't changed so much: it could have changed a lot more, but it clearly weakened us. It's an action where César touches the ball and we're left with ten with an inexplicable decision that greatly affects the game, especially with so much time left."

"We haven't suffered despite being one less. Obviously it conditions us a lot but the personality of the team has meant that we didn't suffer and had scoring situations. Not all the ones we could have had if the game had continued the same and we had played with eleven, but it's football and we have to eat it."

"We knew it was a very tough week, with the midweek cup game and the travel. But I think the team has stepped up and instead of getting smaller with the expulsion we got even bigger and pushed of courage and personality".

"It's a great shame, it's a great misfortune that hurts a lot. I personally have family in Valencia and it's a situation that leaves you very touched. Football is the most important thing of the least important and this week without a doubt the thoughts of everyone were in Valencia".
