Ferran Costa: "Winning is very difficult so we must value it"

Tricolour coach Ferran Costa positively assessed his team's victory, which has overcome Amorebieta and will end the year in promotion positions.

"It's a category where winning is very difficult, so every time you do it you have to value it. I think that in the first half we were clearly superior, we had the goal and other chances. Yes, we lacked a little energy, but in this field you have to be more careful not to fall than anything else and they were in a low block waiting for us to make a mistake and so it's difficult to give a high pace to the ball. Even so, when we overcame the first line of pressure we reached the opposing area well. And in the second half we had the goal, we had another very clear chance that would have allowed us to close the game and, with ten minutes left, we had to play with two players less due to the injuries of Christos [Almpanis] and Erik Morán. But as a block we were solid enough and we only conceded one shot on goal".

"It was important to win. This category is very tough. We were facing a team that had just get points in four of the last six games. That's three more points."

"The reality is that we are in a very tight group of teams, three points behind the second-placed team... everything is very even and that speaks to the competitiveness of the category. [...] We won at home, scoring more than one goal, getting a clean-sheet... that's the most important thing and now we have a few days to recharge our batteries, analyse what we have done so far and see what areas for improvement the team has."

"I said it in the last press conference last year: I am not Harry Potter. We are in a very tough category and you always have to keep that in mind because nobody gives you anything and everything costs a lot. If we look back at last season, there are great projects that have not managed to get promoted. I am very aware that being the best team in the category, or fighting to be one of them, involves a lot and we still have to grow a lot."
