Andorra has taken a giant step towards staying up in a very complete match: the tricolors were tremendously effective in the final meters and defended the local attempts with maturity and solidity.
Everything is easier when you score in the first action, and that's what happened to Andorra: Lautaro won the duel against the rival defense and didn't miss in front of Édgar Badia (5'). Despite the goal, Cultu remained brave, trying to cause damage through vertical attacks, but the tricolors held their ground well and struck again on their next opportunity. Cerdà won the aerial duel against a defender, Jastin invented a magical backheel, and Marc Domènech made no mistake.
The joy of the second goal lasted just two minutes because the referee awarded a penalty in Andorra's area immediately after. But the scare was short-lived as Jesús Owono, who had already made a crucial save a few minutes earlier, stopped the 1-2 with a great dive.
In the second half, Cultu came out strong again, but Carles Manso's men held firm and, as the minutes passed, began to find spaces to cause damage. Manu Nieto, with one of the first balls he touched, couldn't capitalize on a magnificent pass from Marc Domènech (65'), and shortly after, Lautaro shot over the bar.
But in the 79th minute, Manu sealed the deal with the third goal, and in a moment of euphoria, Yeray closed out the scoring.
