In the first match of the season at the Principality, Andorra secured their second consecutive victory, propelling the team to the top of the table at the start of the league. Ibai Gómez's side delivered an excellent first half and managed to endure when Burgos stepped up after their goal.
The tricolors reaffirmed the good feelings from the first two matches with a very high-level first 45 minutes. Andorra was clearly superior to their opponent, dominating them and preventing them from approaching Yaako's goal. They didn't have many chances either, but it was enough to take the lead before halftime.
First, Minsu and Molina tried, but it was ultimately the Korean winger who converted an excellent transition led by Dani Villahermosa to break the deadlock (42').
In the second half, Burgos started with energy, but Marc Domènech extended the lead right in the 55th minute. The problem was that with the 2-0 scoreline, the Castilians stepped up, and all of Andorra's dominance disappeared. To begin with, Fer Niño's goal came in the 59th minute to narrow the gap, and from there, the match tilted towards Andorra's goal.
Yaako, aside from a good save just before stoppage time, hardly had to intervene, but the tricolors felt uncomfortable for a good stretch of the second half. Even so, Lauti and Manu Nieto had two good opportunities to seal the match, and in the final minutes, apart from Cantero's last attempt, Ibai Gómez's side controlled the situation.
