FC Andorra, as the Principality's oldest sports club, must also be a social actor that gives back to the community. That is why this week we are launching the "A team, a community" project, which will serve to collaborate and give visibility to some of the associations in our country. Thus, we will dedicate each month to supporting different causes, taking advantage of our resources and the voice that our position provides us.
February, the month of the fight against cancer
This month of February, for example, we will dedicate to the fight against cancer, which will focus our efforts throughout the month. Together with Assandca, the Andorran association against cancer, we will carry out a series of actions to make the fight against the disease more visible and raise funds for the association with two days marked on the calendar: World Cancer Day on February 4 and the day of the fight against Childhood Cancer on the 15th.
We will start this Sunday when, before the match against Ourense, Assandca president Josep Saravia will present the solidarity armbrand that our captains will wear in the four matches in February. An armbrand that will be auctioned at the end of the month through Gol Solidari.
At this weekend's match, there will also be Assandca volunteers at the stadium and products from the association will be available for purchase in our shop.
This month's entire initiative will also have the presence and support of first-team footballers Álvaro Peña and Pau Casadesús, who will act as ambassadors for FC Andorra to give voice to all our actions.
