A point in a frantic game

Andorra got another point away from home in a crazy game that had a little bit of everything. The Tricolours started off better and scored through Iker Benito, but from the 20th minute onwards Eibar raised the pressure lines and managed to turn around the visiting dominance and the scoreboard. The red card of Sergio Álvarez changed the final 30 minutes and Eder Sarabia's side took advantage of it to draw from eleven metres.

Andorra's start was very positive with Sergio Molina kicking on goal just 20 seconds later. In the 3rd minute, Álvaro Martín tried it again and, in the 5th, Iker Benito's goal came after a great centre from Petxa. After the goal, Alvaro Martin and Petxa still enjoyed two more arrivals.

In the 15th minute, Corpas came close to taking advantage of a mistake in a pass and from there Eibar started to press better. In the 23rd. Stoichkov equalized the scoreboard after a quick move and the 2-1 lead came in an unfortunate action that ended with a Samper own goal (36’).

After halftime, the match started much quiet until Sergio Álvarez saw two yellow cards in one minute and left Eibar with ten men. From there, the Basques had to take a step back. It was difficult for Andorra because until the last ten minutes the only dangerous approach was a centre from Iván Gil that Manu didn’t reach.

But in the 80th minute, a great move by Scheidler ended with a penalty for Arbilla’s handball and Manu Nieto did not forgive. With 2-2, the Tricolours tried to score the winning goal, but another shot from Manu was saved well by Zidane and Scheidler did not connect with the ball.
