A draw that could have be a win

The good atmosphere in the stands has been transferred by the team with a great game on the field. However, Andorra had to comeback from a goal in an unfortunate move and could only get a point in a match in which the Tricolours were brave and have deserved a little more luck in the final result.

The first half was entirely for Andorra. The Tricolours dominated and had chances to get ahead on the scoreboard. The clearest one, a Manu Nieto’s header that hit the post. Lobete and again Manu Nieto were also close to open the score. On the other goal, Vilanova was fast enough to avoid Braithwaite to score in the only opportunity Espanyol had in the first 45 minutes.

In the second half, Espanyol came out braver and managed to get the ball a little more. However, the first to try it was Lobete, whose shot saved Pacheco. In the other area, Expósito finished a quick transition with a shot without much danger. A minute later, it was Lobete again, but Espanyol got an undeserved prize in a fortunate move with a own goal by Pampín. Far from giving up, Andorra search the draw from the first minute. Just after the goal, Ramon saved over the line a goal from Lobete and a few minutes later, Iván Gil shot, Manu Nieto deflected the ball but over the crossbar.

Finally in the 83rd minute came the well-deserved goal. Petxa served up a millimetric pass to Ivan who, with a header, equalized the game. The goal would be definitive because beyond a high shot from Pampín on almost the last play of the match, nothing else happened near the areas.
