A late penalty gives the three points to Andorra

Andorra returned to the victory path in a game resolved thanks to a penalty on Hector Hevel in the last minutes. Carlos Martínez did not miss and gave the tricolours three points in a game in which Andorra enjoyed more chances to get the win. For instance, in the first half, Ivan Gil hit the post twice.

Those who anticipated a game without much pace soon saw that this would not be the case because just in the 4th minute Ivan Gil sent a shot to the base of the post. Before the 10th minute, Germán was close to arrive to a Jacobo's pass and, in the 16th, Ivan Gil hit the woodwork again after a good assisst from Petxa. After that positive start for the home team, Tenerife tried to get closer Marc Vidal's goal through direct play and some set pieces but without any remarkable situation. Meanwhile, before the break, Germán anticipated his marker but his header went high.

On the restart, the match started much calmer, although Tenerife had the clearest chance in an action that ended with the ball in the back of the net but which the referee cancelled out due to Waldo's foul on Alex Valle. For his part, Carlos had the first tricolour opportunity of the second half but he shooted directly to Soriano's hands. But the clearest chance was just after when Jacobo, with a great pass, assisted Germán who left his marker behind but was unable to score.

In the end, Carlos finished too loose an excellent collective move and, at the 87th minute, the decisive action of the match arrived. Hector fell inside the goal area and the referee whistled nothing in the first instance, but after consulting VAR he called a penalty that allowed Carlos Martinez to give Eder Sarabia's side the three points.
