Andorra will host Sporting de Gijón this Saturday (4:15pm, Encamp Stadium), with the aim of returning to positive results after a demanding stretch of competition. The team from the Principality is 18th in the standings with 3 points, having achieved one victory in the last five league matches, the most recent being a 1-3 loss to Real Sociedad B. Both the fans and the team hope that the support in Encamp will help turn the tide in this new challenge.

Evenly Matched

Facing them will be a Sporting de Gijón side with a slightly better record: two wins, one draw, and two losses in their last five matches, placing them 15th with 7 points. The Asturians have just lost their last two matches, but have shown great solidity during this start to the season with only three goals conceded – also only two goals scored.

The historical record between the two teams is completely even: in the six matches played so far, the balance is two wins for each team and two draws. The most recent encounter ended with a tricolor victory, as Andorra won 1-0 last March. This is a good precedent heading into this Saturday's match, with the goal of securing three points in front of their home fans.

Enes Sali, available

Andorra has all its players healthy and available to play, except for Gael Alonso and Théo Le Normand, who are sidelined with long-term injuries already known. The latest player to become available is Enes Sali, who has resolved bureaucratic issues and will be able to make his debut with the tricolor team.
