The FC Andorra is organizing a new edition of the Copa Tricolor this Sunday, a Mixed Ability football tournament that will take place starting at 09:30 at the Camp de Prada de Moles. The competition will bring together teams with players with and without disabilities in a day that highlights inclusion and equal opportunities through sports.
The tournament will feature the participation of clubs such as Real Sociedad, Girona, Olot, Atlètic Lleida, and the Genuine team of Andorra itself. Additionally, in line with the spirit of the competition, the referees for the matches will also be young people with different abilities. The day will conclude with a communal lunch for all participants and joint attendance at the match between Andorra and Las Palmas.
Following the precedent set last December, when a similar tournament was held with teams from the Andorran league, this new edition takes a step forward with a 7-a-side football format and the presence of prominent clubs from outside the country. This evolution marks the first edition of the Copa Tricolor, an event that aims to become a reference in the field of inclusive football.
The Encamp Commune supports inclusive sports through the agreement with FC Andorra
The agreement signed this season between FC Andorra and the Encamp Commune includes, among other actions, support for the team made up of people with disabilities, which will participate this weekend in the Copa Tricolor taking place at Prada de Moles. The team with different abilities has already participated on several occasions in similar tournaments across Spain, achieving the goal of promoting inclusion in sports, a value fully aligned with the sports policy of the Encamp Commune.
At the same time, the Encamp–El Pas de la Casa brand, as a sports tourism destination, has gained international projection thanks to this collaboration agreement with FC Andorra. This initiative is part of the parish's tourism positioning and economic reactivation strategy.
