Sergi Samper, incorporació de luxe pel centre del camp

FC Andorra's sports management announces the signing of Sergi Samper for two seasons. The midfielder has been training under Eder Sarabia this last week after finishing his contract with his previous club, Japan's Vissel Kobe.

Sergi Samper (Barcelona, 20/01/1995) is a midfielder trained in Barça's youth categories and who has spent the last four and a half seasons in Japan. Born in the Catalan capital, Samper did not wear any shirt other than Barça until the 2016/17 season: he entered the Barça school and, after playing in all the youth categories, arrived at the first team with whom he debuted at the age of 19 in a Champions League match against Apoel. After finishing his time with the Catalan team, the midfielder played two seasons on loan at Granada and Las Palmas, in LaLiga, before moving to Japanese football.

He joined Vissel Kobe, where he played with players such as Andrés Iniesta and David Villa, in March 2019 and made 105 appearances. In his Japanese journey, Samper was champion of the Super Cup and the Emperor’s Cup, while at Barça, although with less prominence, he was Europe, world and European Super Cup champion and he also won, twice, Spanish league, Copa del Rey and Super Cup.

Samper is the prototype midfielder who fits perfectly into Eder Sarabia's schemes. Technically gifted, he is a positional midfielder with great ability to associate and build advantages.
