Five goals to keep growing

Andorra has bounced back from the setback of the last match in Encamp and has achieved a resounding victory against another team from the upper part of the table. The tricolors were vastly superior to Las Palmas in the second half and secured a new victory, leaving them with 58 points.

The first half was quite balanced, although the Canarians had more chances. The first, however, came from Alende with a spectacular volley that forced goalkeeper Horkas to make a miraculous save (10'). A few minutes later, in a quick transition, the visiting team found space, and the referee awarded a penalty in a rather questionable action by Owono with an opposing forward. From the penalty spot, Jesé did not miss.

With the 0-1, Las Palmas could have doubled their lead from a corner kick, but Kirian's header hit the base of the post. On the other end, Andorra did not forgive, and Le Normand, after combining with Josep Cerdà, restored parity on the scoreboard.

But while the match went into halftime at 1-1, the second half was a completely different story. The team from the Principality showed their best side and dominated their opponent. Manu Nieto, on two occasions, and Efe Akman, who almost capitalized on a defensive error by the visitors, were the first to try, but after the 2-1 – in an unfortunate play by former tricolor Mika Mármol – the game tilted in Andorra's favor.

Efe Akman, with a brilliant finish, scored the third, and immediately after, Manu Nieto netted the 4-1 by picking up a loose ball after a shot from Cerdà. With the game already decided, Marc Cardona, who had already had a golden opportunity to score just after coming on, sealed the rout with a great individual play.
