First home defeat of the season in a match that turned in five fateful minutes: two stunning goals from Leganés made the game an uphill battle for Andorra, which, to its credit, fought until the end and reduced the deficit through Gael Alonso.
Despite Lauti hitting the post right at the start after a spectacular pass from Martí Vilà, in the first half, the Madrid team managed to contest possession with Andorra. Debutant Owono had to intervene in two visiting chances, while at the other end, Alende sent the ball into the back of the net, but the goal was disallowed for offside.
The halftime break did not benefit Andorra, as in the second half, the visitors broke the game open with two brilliant goals in less than five minutes.
From that point on, Leganés stepped back, and the match turned into an all-out attack. The Madrid team retreated into their own half, and Andorra tried everything. Álex Calvo attempted a powerful shot that forced Soriano into a great save, and a few minutes later came the controversial play of the match: Lauti scored after the referee played the advantage on a penalty committed on Jastin. However, the linesman disallowed the goal by the tricolor forward, and the referee then refused to go back and award the penalty.
Even so, Andorra did not give up, and in the 86th minute, from a corner, Gael Alonso rose above the defense to reduce the deficit and give hope to the tricolors. Hopes that lasted until the final whistle, despite the scoreline remaining unchanged.
