Painful defeat

Andorra fell because of a goal in the 89th minute in the direct duel against Amorebieta. The Tricolours dominated and had almost every chance of the match, but again they lacked the goal and the Basque side took advantage of this to score in one of their few approaches to the area.

The lack of goal

The script of the match was as expected and the Tricolours closed their rival to their own field. It was time to be patient and Andorra did it and the chances arrived. The first to try it was from Rubén Bover, with a shot over the crossbar, and then it Iván Gil tried it. On the half-hour mark, Scheidler came very close but narrowly missed the goal, while before half-time Jandro, after great personal action, and Pombo tried to open the score. Amorebieta, meanwhile, only tested Nico Ratti with a shot from outside the penalty area (44').

On the second half everything remained the same, although local offensive production dropped. A defender came close to getting the ball into his own goal after a play by Pampín, while Ruben Bover had a very clear opportunity after a good assist from Scheidler (57'). From there, the duel ran out of steam. The minutes went by and Andorra couldn't find a way to hurt… And in the 89th minute, after a set piece, Bustinza found the back of the net and the Tricolours were left the game empty-handed.
