Martí Vilà: 100 games in the league with the tricolour jersey

Martí Vilà has reached a milestone this Sunday with the Andorran jersey: 100 matches played in the league. The left-back has reached the hundredth games today against Real Sociedad B, in which he participated coming off the bench with just over half an hour left in the match.

Vilà arrived in the Principality in the summer of 2020, with the team still in Segunda división B, having come from the Deportivo second team. Since his debut as a starter on October 24 of the same year in a two-goal draw against Espanyol B, the full-back has become a key figure in the tricolour dressing room both on and off the pitch. Always wearing the number 20, Martí has been the protagonist of some of the most important moments in the club's recent history: the most notable, promotion to LaLiga in the 2021/22 season.

The cruciate ligament injury he suffered in the last match of 2022, in Tenerife, has marked his last years, in which injuries have not allowed him to participate regularly. However, Vilà, who became one of the captains of the first team two summers ago and with a contract until 2026, has now reached the figure of 100 league matches – three more in Copa del Rey and one in Copa Catalunya – with the aim of continuing to grow with the tricolor jersey.
