Today marks one year since one of the most special days in the recent history of Andorra. On May 21, 2025, the tricolor team secured their return to the Second Division of Spanish football in Ponferrada thanks to a solitary goal by Lautaro de León.
That afternoon will forever remain etched in the memory of the tricolor fans. The team completed a brilliant campaign, demonstrating personality, ambition, and a strong footballing identity to achieve their goal just 12 months after losing the category. The final whistle unleashed the joy of players, coaches, and the more than 300 traveling fans who were aware they were witnessing a historic milestone for the club.
Beyond the sporting result, that promotion represented the consolidation of a project that has not stopped growing. A step forward that allowed Andorra to continue competing among the best teams in professional football and confirmed the club's ability to face increasingly ambitious challenges.
365 days later, the memory of that afternoon in Ponferrada remains very much alive. One of those days that form part of the club's history and explain why Andorra is today a stronger, bigger entity with more enthusiasm than ever to keep looking toward the future.
