This is how Ferran Costa assessed his team's tough defeat on the Arenteiro pitch.
#ParauladeMíster | Post vs Arenteiro
"My assessment is that we had two posts, meritorious saves from their goalkeeper, a goal disallowed, several shots... and, in the end, the opponent, with four situations, scored three goals in very isolated and punctual situations. That's football. The team generated a lot today and we didn't concede that much either, but the opponent was very efficient and penalized us. That's football and that's how it goes".
"Arenteiro is a very good team, well-trained and with good players who have been doing things for a long time and who had already shown in a very good first stage of the competition what kind of team they are. I'm not talking about justice because what matters is to score goals. But they are a team that wants to have the initiative in the game, command from possession and let the opponent play little, and in the first half we found ourselves behind on the scoreboard in an unfortunate and punctual action when we were the ones who were most looking the goal. And when we were looking for the draw we received another blow going into the break with two goals against when the game didn't transmit that. But this is not about generating, it's about being clinical and putting the ball in the back of the net and in that they have been three times better than us".
"In the second half the team tried to get back into the game, but another isolated action took us even further away. Despite this, we tried to score until the 96th minute. In the end, what remains is the result, but I think we generated enough for the score to be very different".
"The assessment of the first round is that with a little of luck in some moments we would have get enough points to be fighting for the top three positions. The goal is clear: to reach the last month of competition with the possibility of returning to professional football. And the goal remains this. This is a long-distance race. I think today's result is very tough, but I agree that you don't get promoted by decree or budget, but you have to have the ability to go through bad moments, recover and do this long-distance race properly".
