An early goal was enough for Racing de Ferrol

Andorra still cannot find victory away after losing in an even match that was decided by an early goal from Racing de Ferrol. The Tricolours dominated throughout the 90 minutes, but they weren’t accurate enough in the final metres and paid a high price for a defensive mistake just in the 10th minute.

Eder Sarabia's side started very well and just in the 1st minute they had the first opportunity to open the score. And very clear. After a good move from Lobete, Scheidler received the ball in the edge of the box but his shot was saved by Ander Cantero. Shortly afterwards, it was Pampín who tried it again with a shot too loose, but in the first arrival near Dani Martín's area, Racing de Ferrol did not forgive: Iker Losada broke the defense with a quick movement and beat the tricolour goalkeeper. The goal that had not initially gone on the scoreboard due to an offside but VAR corrected the referee decision.

The goal hurt and Andorra did not feel comfortable for the next few minutes. However, before half-time the best chance was again for the Tricolours: Iván Gil headed an Alex Calvo centre but the ball went off the post.

After half time, Eder Sarabia's men came out even more dominating and closed their rival on their pitch. The Galicians tried to hurt on the counterattack and Carlos Vicente tested Dani Martín in the 53rd minute. For its part, Andorra tried it with too loose shots from Scheidler, Álex Calvo and Iván Gil, but despite total dominance they were not quite right in the final pass. Manu Nieto, as soon as he entered, had the last chance but a defender stopped him with a foul just outside the box and that's where the tricolour options died. In fact, in the injury time, Racing enjoyed two clear opportunities to score.
