FC Andorra has reached an agreement with Almería for the second signing of this transfer market: the center-back Édgar González will play in the Principality on loan until the end of the season.
Édgar González (Sallent, 1/4/97) is a footballer with a well-established career, having played nearly a hundred matches in the First Division (87) and many more in the second tier of Spanish football (70).
Trained in the youth academies of Cornellà and Espanyol, Édgar began his senior football career with the green team in Segunda División B, and his good performances caught the attention of Betis, who signed him in 2018. In Seville, after his time with the reserve team and a loan to Oviedo, he established himself as an important player in the First Division.
In the summer of 2023, he signed for Almería and there he also had a significant role for two seasons, the first in the top category and the second in LaLiga Hypermotion. Meanwhile, he played the first half of this season on loan at Croatian club Hajduk Split.
