Defeat in the first preseason friendly

Andorra fell to Albacete in the opening game of the 25/26 season. The tricolors, who started strong but faded as the game progressed, succumbed to a rival that was better in the second half and showed they were better prepared in these early days of the season.

The start of the match was vibrant, and Ibai Gómez's team did not back down. In fact, the clearest chances in the opening minutes were for the tricolors, especially through a very active Minsu. However, the first half was very evenly matched, with Andorra, though, having more control of the ball and, at many moments, pinning their opponent in their own half.

From more to less

In the second half, however, Albacete managed to turn the game around and, through strong pressing, made the Principality's team feel uncomfortable. Thus, in the 57th minute, after a midfield turnover, Valverde found himself alone against Owono and opened the scoring.

From that point on, the Manchegos continued to dominate until, from a corner kick, the second goal came courtesy of Jon García (69'). From then until the end, the tricolor goalkeeper had to intervene successfully to prevent a third goal from another corner kick, while in added time, Álex Calvo had the clearest chance, but his shot hit the post.
