The Genuine team of FC Andorra visited the Funicamp, invited by the Comú d’Encamp, during a special day before heading to the United States. The visit was attended by the Councillor of Finance, Sports, and Economic Reactivation of the Comú d’Encamp, Nino Marot, and the Councillor of Social Affairs, Seniors, and Human Resources, Sílvia Ramond.

During the meeting, the players, who went up to Solanelles to visit the new Bear sculpture, received a small gift from the Comú, and the councillors wished them good luck in their participation in the Genuine World Cup in Houston. The tricolor team, coached by Montse Sánchez, will travel this Sunday, July 26, to the United States to represent the Principality of Andorra in a competition that will bring together teams from 50 different nationalities and will take place throughout the week.

Sport as a tool for inclusion

Councillor Nino Marot emphasized that from the Comú d’Encamp, they understand "sport as a tool for cohesion, equal opportunities, and inclusion." "That is why we support initiatives like the Genuine team within the framework of the collaboration agreement with FC Andorra," he said.

The Genuine Cup will be an experience that goes far beyond sports competition, aiming to promote inclusion, coexistence, and the values of sport. Additionally, the tricolor expedition will enjoy various cultural and leisure activities, including a visit to NASA facilities.
