Andorra defeated Millwall in the first match of the 2026/27 preseason. In a game marked by high temperatures and after a short preparation period, the tricolors came back from the English team's initial goal with goals from Golubovic and Nacho Quintana.
The summer break has not changed the personality of a team determined to dominate the game through ball possession against a rival that, nevertheless, also wanted to take the lead. Thus, the team from the Principality reached the final third with fluidity but struggled to find the final pass to harm Millwall. On the other hand, the British team appeared more dangerous and had the first goal opportunity with a shot from Coburn that hit the post (16').
A few minutes later, Marc Domènech tried with a direct free kick, but goalkeeper Lucas Jensen made a spectacular save to deny the tricolors' 0-1. And so, without many other notable actions, the match went to halftime, leading to a second half full of changes.
The goals, in the second half
Only Nico Ratti and Bomba remained on the field for the second half, and it took Andorra a few minutes to find their rhythm. It is true that, right at the start, Álex Calvo tried with a shot from the edge of the box that the English goalkeeper saved in two attempts, but from there, the tricolors lost some energy, and Millwall stepped up.
There weren’t many clear chances, but in the first one they had, Mathis Servais unleashed a powerful strike that left Jan Lagunas, who had just entered the field, with no chance to respond.
With the score at 1-0, the tricolors, debuting their red third kit today, reacted. Golubovic, assisted by Nacho Quintana, maneuvered brilliantly inside the box to score the equalizer (81'), and three minutes later, with the roles reversed, the Serbian forward intercepted a ball in a dangerous area and set up Quintana to score the 1-2 with ease.
