A deserved and necessary victory for Andorra, who have overcome Lugo to put an end to the poor dynamic of results. Josep Cerdà opened the scoreboard in the first half and the same winger caused the penalty that allowed Manu Nieto to close the win.
It was not a brilliant duel but the tricolours had the necessary effectiveness that they had lacked in other matches. Josep Cerdà scored the 1-0 in one of the first dangerous arrivals of Andorra. From there, the locals dominated and controlled at will without Nico Ratti having to intervene.
In the second half, the game became more lively and Lugo began to approach the opponent's goal with more danger although without any really dangerous shot. Beto Company's team, for their part, tried it with a high shot from Álvaro Martín and tried to put the game to sleep through possession. Finally, just before the added time, Josep Cerdà fell into the area after a good move by Manu Nieto and the Andalusian striker scored from the penalty spot.
