Victory and draw in the triangular in San Sebastián de los Reyes

Andorra secured a victory and a draw in the double match this evening. In the triangular tournament held in San Sebastián de los Reyes, the tricolors narrowly defeated Zamora thanks to a goal by Merquelanz and drew without goals against the local team in 45 minutes marked by Ibai Gómez's side playing almost the entire time with ten players.

Both matches had few chances. Against Zamora, it was Kike Márquez who first tried with a shot from the edge of the box that Nico Ratti saved well (19’). Andorra, on the other hand, didn’t need much to cause damage, and in a quick play, Álex Calvo got behind Zamora's defense to assist Merquelanz, who didn’t miss (32’).

After the goal, the tricolors dominated without much trouble, although just before the end, Kike Márquez came close to scoring with a shot that went over the crossbar (43’).

With ten men

Ibai Gómez's side played the immediately following match with only three changes in the lineup – Bomba, Le Normand, and Almpanis came in for Gael Alonso, Molina, and Álex Calvo. However, what truly marked this part was the misfortune of Álvaro Martín, who received a blow in the 5th minute and did not return to the field. Since no substitutions were planned for this second half, Andorra was left with ten men on the pitch.

Outnumbered, as expected, the tricolors had to step back, and Sanse took control. However, they didn’t trouble Nico Ratti's goal much. In the 13th minute, the local player Christian, the most active, tested the Argentine goalkeeper, although the clearest chance came towards the end. On this occasion, Christian hit the crossbar, and the score remained unchanged.
