No options at all

Andorra fell in El Molinón and saw almost all of their chances of salvation disappear in a bad game. The tricolours have given Sporting too many facilities, which have been able to take advantage of it to hit when they needed to, leaving Iván Gil's two goals without effect.

Ferran Costa's men entered the game with personality, but they were soon penalized. And the fact is that the Asturians broke the game in the first 30 minutes thanks to two set pieces. In the first, Cote received the ball outside the box after a corner kick and beat Nico with a strong shot close to the post (11'). And in practically the second clear opportunity of the locals, Sporting doubled their advantage with a free-kick that Juan Otero finished with a header (28').

Iván Gil's goals, not enough

Between the first and the second goal Andorra had managed to take the game near the local goal, but the 2-0 has messed Ferran Costa's men up bad, who suffered in the last part of the first half. Fortunately, Iker Benito saved a goal on the line and, in the 43rd minute, a great move by Lobete was finished by Iván Gil with a goal that opened the game again.

In the restart, Andorra kept trying, but despite some timid attempts by the Principality men, it was the local team who struck again with a header from Queipo (64'). In almost the next play, Iván Gil scored a goal with a spectacular rocket with his left leg, but the tricolour's hope was short-lived, as Juan Otero completed a quick transition with the 4-2. Here, the match was decided and there was only time for Nacho Méndez to make the wound even bigger with the definitive 5-2.
