Andorra got a point, that could have been three, in its visit to Stage Front Stadium. The tricolours played a very complete game and had more opportunities than their opponent to take the victoy. However, the match was a bit long for Ferran Costa's team, who had to suffer in the last stages.
The tricolours came out with personality on an imposing stadium and dominated the duel from the kick off. The Principality team have shown the aggression and sobriety that Ferran Costa has tried to instill in the squad in the last two games but, at the sime time, the team has shown itself to be very confident with the ball. And so, almost all the arrivals in the first half have been for Andorra. In the 22nd minute, Iván Gil tried it with a rocket that saved Joan Garcia, while a few minutes later, it was Rubén Bover who tried to surprise the home goalkeeper.
And finally, the tricolour's good start was rewarded just in the 29th minute when Iván Gil, with a curling shot, completed an excellent collective play. The goal has woken up Espanyol, who accelerate the game and managed to play more often into the opposite field. However, before half time, Iván Gil once again was the only who tried to score.
At the restart, an omnipresent Iván Gil tested Joan Garcia again to try to reduce the local initial effervescence. But it was Espanyol who struck first when Braithwaite finished Omar's cross into the back of the net (53').
Just after the equaliser, Karrikaburu was about to put the Principality team ahead again in a great individual action, but his shot went off the goal. And a few minutes later, Pastor tried it with a shot. Andorra had reacted well to the opponent's goal, although in a new action from the wing, Braithwaite finished with a shot that hit the post (63').
The scare did not make Andorra hesitate, who continued brave with the ball and looking to bite when approaching the box. And so, once again Iván Gil, has again near to score after a good pass from Lobete; his shot, however, went wide by very little (71'). This was the last chance for Andorra, who in the last minutes were pushed by the white-and-blue energy. Thus, despite threatening to counterattack, Ferran Costa's men had to suffer in the last minutes to add a valuable point that will have to be made good in the next games at Estadi Nacional
