Victory to close the preseason with good feelings

Good victory for Ibai Gómez's team to close the preseason. Andorra secured the win in the sixth and final preparation friendly in a match decided in the final minutes. The tricolors were superior in the first half but saw Madrid Castilla respond after the break to equalize; however, two goals in three minutes in the final stretch tipped the balance in favor of Andorra.

The team from the Principality started like a steamroller and was completely superior to their opponent in the first half-hour of play. In fact, if it hadn't been for the white goalkeeper Fran González, the scoreline in the first half could have been wider. In the 5th minute, Carrique already tried with a good play down the right wing, while shortly after, a shot from Marc Domènech was stopped by the local goalkeeper.

The game continued to tilt towards Madrid's goal. Manu Nieto threatened with a header, but the goal finally came in the 20th minute after a great move inside the area by Lautaro, who scored his second goal of the preseason. Just before the hydration break, Yaako had to intervene for the first time in the match with a great save, and the truth is that from that point on, the Madrid reserve team stepped up and leveled the game in the final stretch before halftime.

After the break, Castilla came out just as bold and enjoyed their best minutes. Although the clearest chance once again went to Andorra, with a penalty caused by Manu Nieto. However, the Andalusian forward couldn't beat Fran González from the penalty spot (52').

Before that, the locals had a good chance with a shot from Zúñiga that went just wide of the post, but the Madrid equalizer finally came in the 70th minute, courtesy of Rachad. Andorra, however, did not give up and went back on the attack. In doing so, they found their reward with two almost consecutive goals at the end.

After a quick transition, the ball fell to Marc Domènech at the edge of the box, and the Catalan didn't miss with a precise shot (86'). Just three minutes later, Gael Alonso sealed the score by outmuscling the white defense from a corner kick.
