The good streak is broken

First defeat of the season at Eibar's stadium. Andorra was unable to extend its good run of results, falling at Ipurua due to two goals in the second half in an inconsistent match by Ibai Gómez's team.

And this despite the fact that the tricolors started the match well, dominating their opponent through a high tempo in ball circulation. The problem was that, starting from the 20th minute, a couple of errors in the buildup sapped the morale of Ibai Gómez's players, who lost focus in the game. Fortunately, however, Eibar was unable to capitalize on this to open the scoring.

In a matter of moments, the referee awarded two penalties in Andorra's area. The first was overturned by VAR due to a prior offside, but shortly after, video refereeing did not save Andorra. It was goalkeeper Nico Ratti who had to step up to prevent the goal on this second occasion, correctly reading Corpas's intentions.

Despite the home team's dominance, it was almost 0-1 just before halftime. Lauti, however, was unable to beat Magunagoitia in a one-on-one.

In the second half, the team from the Principality tried to regain control, but the Gipuzkoan side soon found their reward when, in the 53rd minute, Cubero picked up a rebound from Nico Ratti to break the deadlock.

With the score at 0-1, Andorra tried to push forward, and Minsu, after an excellent collective play, came close to equalizing, but the Basque goalkeeper deflected his shot to a corner. Olabarrieta also tried his luck, and in the 77th minute, the visitors had their clearest chance when, from a corner kick, the ball took a deflection off a defender and hit the post.

From what could have been 1-1, it turned into 2-0 with a shot from outside the area by Javi Martínez, and at that point, the match was effectively over.
