Andorra did not have the dream start and fell in the league first game at Bilbao Athletic's home ground. A goal by Olabarrieta in the 2nd minute was definitive despite the tricolours' multiple chances in the first 25 minutes of the second half.
Ferran Costa's men did not start well in the match and met with punishment early on: the home team took advantage of a quick transition to open the scoreboard through Olabarrieta. A few minutes later, Alende tried it with a high shot, but the truth is that in the first half the tricolours were unable to trouble Mikel Santos' goal beyond two shots from Álvaro Martín.
At the restart, Ferran Costa shook the team and the first 25 minutes of the second half were a totally one-way game towards the Basque goal. Andorra had many chances to equalize the score: the clearest, a double by Álvaro Martín and Lautaro that saved, on both occasions, goalkeeper Santos (51'). Apart from this, Solís hit the post, while Morgado's shot has gone high.
But the tricolours couldn't find the equaliser, and from the 70th minute everything got out of control. Bilbao Athletic managed to contain the visitors' attacks and were able to score on the counterattack.
