This afternoon the league calendar for the 23/24 season has been made official, the second that FC Andorra will take part. The tricolours will start the championship at Leganés stadium and finish it with the visit of a newly promoted team, Racing de Ferrol, at Estadi Nacional. The league will begin the weekend of Aug. 13 and end the first weekend of June.
The last stadium that Andorra visited last season will be the scene of the start of the second adventure of the tricolours in the second division. Butarque will host Eder Sarabia's side in their league debut, while the first game at Estadi Nacional will be against Cartagena on the weekend of August 20.
The league championship will only have, this year, two weekdays: October 4, with the visit of Zaragoza, and December 20, at the Racing field. Precisely, the visit to Sardinero, on the last day of the year, will serve to close the first round of the championship. The promotion play-off will be played in June.
The sporting director Jaume Nogués valued the calendar like this: "It will be a very complicated season with teams of a very high level. We face our second year in professional football with optimism and with the conviction and experience that last season gives us".
